Editorial: Nepalese Journal of Zoology, Volume 1, Issue 1
Abstract
There are not many journals in Nepal, certainly not many of Zoology, that include the valuable researches carried out based on Nepal. "Nepalese Journal of Zoology" (NJZ) is the milestone in the Zoological history of Nepal and is the common platform for all the researchers. This first volume of NJZ is the initiation of the Central Department of Zoology (CDZ), Tribhuvan University with the active participation of all the enrolled students and brilliant insight and suggestions from its faculty members.
The NJZ will be published annually from CDZ, TU with the objective of bringing the findings of valuable researches to the readers that are concerned with the bin-diversity conservation, environmental protection and public health and animal health-related issues. It is open to all the contributions dealing with animal science.
The editorial board of NJZ is formed from the Master's level students enrolled in CDZ, TU who are the learners but not the experts in the field of research and writing scientific papers. We have tried our best to maintain the quality of scientific journal with additional support from our advisors. Besides the editorial board and the advisors, we also have a list of experts whom we consult for peer-reviewing manuscripts and only those articles that are recommended by the reviewers are published in the NJZ. We will be more selective to accept the paper, size of the coming volume of the journal will be increased, other texts including advertisements and well-wishes will be excluded and we are planning to place the abstracts of major papers in the website of NJZ which is in due course of its hosting.
The editorial board emphasized the publication of simple, easily understandable but valuable and worthy articles. The opinions and interpretations expressed in the articles are the personal opinions of the researchers and do not necessarily reflect the views of the publisher and editors, or of any institution with which the researcher may be associated. The Editorial Board does not guarantee the accuracy of data and the information included in the articles and accepts no responsibility, whatsoever, for any consequences of their use. The editorial board of NJZ welcomes critical comments and suggestions from all sectors for its quality improvement and sustainability.
