Dr. Daya Ram Bhusal obtained M.Sc. in Zoology/Entomology from Tribhuvan University, Nepal in 2001 and PhD degree in 2014 from Aristotle University Thessaloniki, Greece in Soil Ecology especially focusing in “Free-living Soil Nematodes as Ecological Indicators across Landscape-scale”. His major fields of interest are Soil biodiversity, Insect ecology, Plant-insect interaction and Agrobiodiversity. His research experience is in several national and international funded projects. Currently, he is working on “Species Inventory and Ecology of Bumblebees in Nepal”. He is engaged in many biodiversity conservation projects in Nepal. He is the member of IUCN SSC -Bumblebee Specialist Group (BBSG). Dr Bhusal has supervised several master students in their master dissertation work and currently, 3 PhD students are working under his supervision. He has published several national and international research articles out of them some articles are published from main-stream ecological journals such as Ecological indicator and Oecologia etc.
